This might be one of my favorite tutorials out there. Caroline, over at Armelle Jewelry, has done a fabulous job with this great Cake Stand Tutorial. It looks too easy, and you could use practically anything to make it. I recently made a 2 layer cake and realized, I don’t have a cake stand. I had to use a flat tray wrapped in tinfoil, so ugly. So, I had to make one of these great hamdmade cake stands for myself. Enjoy!

Where have you found great cake stands? I am starting to become obsessed and might start a collection.

Check the D.I. – I’m serious, you can find some great finds in the dish/kitchen section; really cool cake/pie stands, as well as goblets/glasses. Also, TJ Maxx is great, too.
Such a cute idea! And so cheap and easy! I love it!
Made one for Griff’s birthday!!! Love it!! You know me, I am sooooo not crafty!! This one I managed!! I think I might make some for friends as Christmas gifts!!
Thanks Ree!!

Wow. This is amazingly beautiful. And so easy. Who would have thought? Thanks for sharing.
I love this cake stand! I would glue mine together but then I was thinking… you would see the glue! You could either paint the bottom side of the plate or put some pretty paper on it then glue the base on. There are great glass paints out now that once you are finished painting, cure it in the oven and then viola!
How do you wash one of these cake stands? Handwash only? I worry about the glue. Thanks.
