Trick or Treat with Candy Apples

Here are some great Tricks for your yummy candy apples Treats.

Candy Caramel Apples

Trick: Microwave your caramel candies 1:00 minute at a time and stir. Or you can whip up a quick (okay not so quick, but so worth it) batch of homemade caramel. Dip it straight out of the hot pot.

Trick: Use real sticks from an old tree branch for serving the apples. It gives it a fun authentic look.

Trick: Keep the apples cold when you dip them in the caramel. It will help the caramel set quicker.

Trick: After the caramel is dipped and hardened, dip the apple in white chocolate. Then, sprinkle that with cinnamon and you can resemble the “Apple Pie” candy apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They are to die for.

Trick: Dip your caramel apple into lots of other treats like, m&ms, oreo bits, nuts.

Trick: After chilling caramel apples in the fridge, take them off the wax paper immediately, or they will begin to get warm and stick to the wax paper.

Trick: Serve your candied apples cut. I’ve found they are soooo much easier to eat when cut into slices. But keep the apples in their shape with the stick and all.

Treat:  Enjoy these tricks and treats for making candy apples.

I want one! Caramel, white chocolate, cinnamon and tart crisp apples. It seriously doesn’t get much better. Btw, if your think “regular” chocolate would make these better, you’re wrong. I’m one of the few that are not chocoholics!
