I think I may have burned the sugar though... it browned really fast and the pie had a hint of that burnt sugar taste. I love the taste of pumpkin, just can't get past the texture of pumpkin pie. The abundance of nuts here would break up that solid pumpkin mass nicely. And getting me to willingly eat an entire piece of pumpkin pie is something no one else has ever been able to do. Nice work. Now *this* recipe could make a pumpkin pie lover of me.
