Rainsticks are one of my favorite musical toys. My sister has a really large wooden rainstick they got in Mexico. It’s super big and the sound of rain seems to go on forever. I have wanted to make one for a long time, and with the rainstorms we’ve been having, now is a great time.

Once the sun shines down long enough to warm our faces, my kids want to play in the water. But it is still Spring with a little chill, so we are practicing our boat floating in the sink and bathtub instead, just until it’s time for the blowup pool.

Teaching Kindergarten brought on a lot of papered projects, with lots and lots of tape. When it was time to take down the children’s paper decorations, I had a terrible time removing the tape from off the back of the paper. The tape tends to tear almost all the way through the paper.
