I wash our toothbrushes in the dishwasher all the time. Does the plastic from the toothbrushes breakdown and leach chemicals?

Alyssa – No baby yet. I’m getting super anxious though! But I’ve got blogging to keep my mind occupied.

Brian – we could just throw them out, but I like to clean them sooner than when they’re ready to be tossed.

Mandy – No soapy taste. They get clean and dry just like the dishes.

This is such a great idea – thanks! I haven’t really thought about my toothbrush being dirty since I use it to clean my mouth…that’s ironic.

I use a steam cleaner to clean the bathroom, and just blast the toothbrushes when I clean the bathroom. Also, we made the grape pops today. I can’t wait to eat them tomorrow! Thanks for all these ideas- this is my new favorite website! :)

Does it taste like soap? Nope. Your glasses, plates and forks don’t taste like soap when you use them after washing them in the dishwasher.

The real cleaning power, however, is the steam that kills everything.

I do this to our combs, too. It keeps them clean. I toss the toothbrushes every season and get new ones. Cindy

I try to do this once a week! Whats on those toothbrushes is so gross
