Josh – Good question. I’m sure you could call the post office and they’d let you know if or how to send food. I do freeze mine, so maybe that would help it last. OR just make a dough that doesn’t use eggs.

Hey! If anyone reads this…I had a quick question…I want to do this and mail it someone, but b/c there are eggs in cookie dough, can you mail it? does it need to be refrigerated? or would the cooking in the oven kill any problems?

OK, this is truly one of the best ideas I’ve seen so far! We have a couple of new neighbors that have very small children. I remember those days of having no extra time, so this would be a perfect gift for them. Thanks for sharing! :)

I do this, too! I spiced it up with halfies. I make one log of oatmeal cookies and one log of choco-chip, then after a lil bit of fridge time I slice ‘em lengthwise and stick the opposites together so it’s a MIXED cookie log. People LOVE it….and I love making people smile….
