I remember making cards with my mom. Doing that together made us closer. Thanks for supporting families. Another website that has some fun craft ideas is at The Crazy Dazy. http://bit.ly/wN7Wf

I just did this yesterday working o n a daddy's day project with my oldest (she's 3.5). It was nice to get to help her and talk to her while not distracted by her 15 month old little sis. We worked, worked, worked, while sis was asleep and it was marvelous.

It so easy to let spending time with them slide by to do housework or whatever else, isn't it? These are great ideas. I recently read in someone's blog that they are trying to say "yes" more to their kids when they ask to do things. I am guilty of saying "no" a lot, especially when I think what they want to do is going to make a mess (which is often). These craft ideas will go hand-in-hand with my trying to improve on being a yes-Mom instead of a no-Mom! Thanks...gotta go play a video game with my son (let the yeses begin...)!

Good post. I need to be better at crafts with my daughter. I remember loving those lace-up things your daughter is doing in that picture! So fun!
