Quick Crochet Fall Leaf Pattern

I couldn’t resist crocheting these cute little leaves for fall. We have loads of beautiful fallen leaves on our front lawn and I thought I’d crochet up a few more leaves to add to the pile!

Crochet Pattern Fall Leaves
I found some yarn scraps from a variegated skein in fall colors and had to see how they would turn out. They couldn’t be more fun, with the stitches representing the veins of the leaves so perfectly and the colors of yarn giving these a festive look!

Hello, Fall - Crochet Leaf Pattern

These are super quick to crochet. You could make a whole pile of them to jump into in an hour or so ;)

Supplies for Crochet Fall Leaf:

  • yarn – fall colors, variegated is best and gives your leaf all sorts of fun colors in one skein.
  • crochet hook – size I
  • scissors
  • crochet needle

Pattern This pattern is for the middle leaf, medium sized. Adjust stitches for the small and large leaves.

1. Chain stitch 10. This will be the center of the leaf.

2. Going back down the chain, follow these stitches for one side of the leaf:

  • dc – double crochet
  • dc – double crochet

4. Leave one of the tails 1 inch long, sticking out, as the leaf’s stem.

5. Use your crochet needle to hide your other tail.

Now it’s ready for a cute crafty display! The fun part is they all come out just a little different, just like leaves off a tree!

Crochet Pattern for Fall Leaves

Here are a few ideas for using your new crochet leaves:

  • add 10-15 crochet leaves to a 6 foot piece of yarn for a fall garland
  • add 1-3 leaves to a small string of a chain stitch ribbon for a gift tag
  • add them to another large crochet piece, like a blanket, for an embellishment

Have fun with these cute crochet leaves!!
