The inspiration:

“Cheese is the soul of the soil. It is the purest and most romantic link between humans and the earth.” Pierre Androuet.

The challenge:

GK Chesterton: “The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.”

Voila: Tasting to Eternity ( google )

This book is a poetic view of 30 of the best loved French cheeses with an additional two odes to cheese. Recipes, wine pairing, three short stories and an educational section complete the book.

A unique and amusing Christmas present for all food lovers

Enjoy

I would also love to be a guest! I didn't realize some of the activities I do with my son qualify as "storytime" activities until I checked out your blog! I often try to link a book with an activity. I think it gives children a frame of reference. It also probably comes from many years of working with wonderful preschool and kindergarten teachers!

I just posted about our Not a Box (great book by Antoinette Portis) activity here: www.thewritestart.typepad.com. And we recently did a great planting activity to go along with The Carrot Seed that I'm planning on posting about soon.

By the way, I LOVE your blog. Great ideas, great activities, great inspiration. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and know-how!
