I am not much of a housewife but even I would give this a try! Seriously, great and easy-looking recipe.
Cheers,

Sounds delicious but I'd take little pieces! I calculated the calories and even cut into 8 smallish pieces it's still over 500 calories each. My hubby and I are trying to watch our weight and I can accidentally eat half a pie so I figured I'd better know what I was in for if we made it. :) I know, nobody wants to know calories this time of year though!

Hey that IS easy and it's nicer than putting the deep dish Mrs. Smith's into my own ceramic pie pan before baking for the ultimate fake-out. Thanks!

Thanks for this recipe, it sounds great! I've always had trouble with pie crusts, and this sounds like something I could handle.

Jeannette, A cube is a Northwestern thing! It is the same as a stick but we call it a cube up here in the Northwest - 1/2 cup butter! Cube, stick, 1/2 cup - the same thing

I got this recipe from Leigh Anne's site and it is fabulous!!! I taught a group of 14 year old girls how to make pies and this was one of the recipes I used. They all loved it because it is so easy and tastes amazing. You really should try it.
