I’ve been crocheting “comfort scarves” for a project that provides them to shelters for abused women. Now I will make some of your fleece scarves too, especially for the kids. I’m going to crochet little add-ons for the fleece items.

My son and I just finished making these as gifts for my nieces and one in a blanket style for my nephew. I even made a native American print one that we embellished with a faux indian arrowhead. This one was for my son and he won’t take it off. He loves it. They were so great. Now his best friend wants one too.

I was thinking about doing this last fall but never got around to it. I’m much more motivated since you did it first and I can see a picture! I have a really cute piece of fleece I got the day after Thanksgiving at JoAnn and I thought making a poncho would keep my little guy nice and toasty. Thanks for the inspiration…again!

I love them! The heat has hit here, but hey that means that fleece is on clearance. Time to hit up the stores and have them ready for the chilly air this fall.
