How to Video: Crocheting a Fancy Flower

by Marie on October 20, 2009

I was recently interviewed over at Todays Mama and talked about how yarn crafts are something I wish I was better at! So I’m sharing this easy to follow tutorial that I love from the Little Birdie Secrets for Crocheting a Flower. I’ve got all my supplies, some yarn and a crochet hook, and now I’m set to follow along. You will need to have a basic understanding of crocheting for this technique, but they do a great job with the video that I’m hoping my meager crocheting skills will get me through.

Aren’t these crochet flowers just to die for? Image via Little Birdie Secrets

I really really want to learn how to crochet or knit or whatever you call it ;) I still have a pattern from a knit dress Soule Mama did that I still want to make. I wonder if anyone teaches classes in UT? Hmm maybe a Sassy Scoops class? I really want to learn

These are so cute! I didn’t think I could make anything with my scant crochet skills but these are so doable thanks to the clear, visual instructions. Thanks for sharing!

Elaine’s Quilts on 3300 East & 7200 South has free crochet classes. Call & be sure what they offer but I think it’s a drop by around lunch kind of thing. It’s a fabulous shop full of lovely fabrics & ideas for other fun projects.
