Because it was warm at the beginning of November, our lights have been up for weeks. That doesn’t mean they were on yet. We try to wait until atleast the day after Thanksgiving, so they were lit up last Friday. Unlike some of the people in the surrounding areas that have had them up since the day after Halloween. As much as I love to celebrate the Holidays, I don’t need to do it for more than a month.

We chose colored lights last year and are sporting them again. My husband has his opinions about Christmas lights. I don’t really care, as he is the one on the roof putting them up, thanks honey.
What lights are on your house or abode? Do you prefer colored or white, hanging or small, icicles or large snowflakes? Do you have any lit up animals?

There will be minimal decorations at my house this year – it’s my first Christmas with a VERY mobile toddler. All my decorations will be no fewer than 4 feet off the ground, and away from any climbable objects.
What a gorgeous picture. I couldn’t find where you actually live. Do you get snow?
Sorry Eva, that picture is not my house. If it was, I am sure the electricity bill would be too much to pay and we’d have to sell!
I do live in Utah and Yes, we get snow. None yet though. We are waiting…!
I am a traditionalist. We do white lights with a few red here and there. All white trees, lit wreaths on the windows. I fill my window boxes with evergreen and berries and any other live green thing I can find to cut. Then we light those. I dream of those old fashioned christmases. Hard, because we live in southern Utah. Hot December, not the greatest!
