Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My

by Marie on February 16, 2008

Animals are always amazing to look at. How they eat, how they sleep, how they poop. My kids love to look at books about animals and learn new facts about them. Another great place for learning about animals is Magazines. Ranger Rick and Zoobooks are two great magazines that engage children in learning fascinating things about Lions, Tigers and Bears.

Zoobooks for older kids and Zootles for 2-6, both let you get to know a new animal for every issue. There is lots of animal fun to be had.

The National Wildlife Federation has two great magazines out for kids. Ranger Rick is more for kids 7 and up and Big Backyard is targeted for children 3-7.

For the past two years my mom has given my kids a subscription to “Big Backyard” as part of their Christmas. They love it! I keep it in the car and it gives them something to flip through and read while we’re running errands!
