Rosetta Stone Language Learning Giveaway

by Marie on June 26, 2009

Since I’ve now posted about the Importance of Learning a Second Language, I thought it only fitting to give away a language learning program today. Rosetta Stone has been kind enough to send my family their beginner Spanish Language program and they’d like to give away a language program of your choice to a Make and Takes reader!

Rosetta Stone Language Learning Program

Rosetta Stone has 3 levels of learning and can be used by any age. They offer 25 different language programs: Spanish, French, Russian, Hindi, Polish, Hebrew, etc. Their program recreates the learning of language through proven methods, helping you learn in a natural environment.

We’ve already started and are on our way to speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish. This program is great for kids, fun photos, they get to speak into a microphone, and lots of fun matching games that my son loves. We’re trying to use the program for 1/2 hour each day. We all say and repeat the words together. It’s very interactive with pictures and phrases. My 3 year old is saying it right along with us too, trying her best to repeat the words! I can say that my kids are already picking it up!

____________________________________________________________

I’m so excited to for one lucky Make and Takes reader to win a Rosetta Stone Language program. They’ve offered to giveaway a beginning program of any language of your choice. Just tell me what language you’d like to learn and why!

Giveaway Entries: For your chance to win a Rosetta Stone Language Learning Program, leave a comment on this post by Monday June 29th @ midnight, telling which learning language program you’d like to learn. I’ll announce the winner chosen from random on Tuesday morning June 30th. Good Luck!

I’ve heard of this program and wondered if it really worked. It would be so fun to win and be able to learn another language!

2 Cassie June 29, 2009 at 9:59 am

Wow! What an amazing idea! It would be great fun to learn German – we have so many relatives from Germany!

3 Emily June 29, 2009 at 9:59 am

French!! I have been trying to learn for years, but haven’t improved much!

4 Debra Bray June 29, 2009 at 10:08 am

I have been eyeing Rosetta Stone language programs for a while now… alas… too pricey. If I were to win one… I’d want Italian… so that I could stroll in Venice, speaking that lovely language to all that pass. Whether they wanted to talk to me or not!

5 Kelsey June 29, 2009 at 10:17 am

oooh what a great giveaway!! spanish would be great!

6 Amy Tenney June 29, 2009 at 10:32 am

I would LOVE the rosetta Spanish program. I have been on hold for it at the library for months, and there are still 300 people ahead of me. My husband is fluent in Spanish and I would like to share that with him, and teach our 2 girls Spanish as well.

7 Dev June 29, 2009 at 11:00 am

:D
spanish, please.

9 Kristen June 29, 2009 at 11:22 am

I started learning Spanish in college and would love to work on it again.

10 Holly Norton June 29, 2009 at 11:33 am

I would love to learn Italian.

I have wanted to go to Italy since I was a little girl. I even named the puppy I got this past Christmas Bella Notte. When my husband and I got married, we wanted to go on our honeymoon, but we were unable to afford it. We have initiated our “4 year Italy plan” in which we are saving up as much money as possible to go to Italy in 4 years. It would be so great if I were able to speak the lanquage!

My family would love to win beginning Spanish. I drank from the waters of the fountain on Las Ramblas in Barcelona when I was in high school. The story goes that if you drink from the fountain you are destined to return one day. My Spanish is so rusty I don’t think they would let me back in into the country so Rosetta Stone would help refresh my language skills and teach the rest of my family.

This is wonderful! I’ve always wanted to get one, but they’re pricey. I would love to re-learn the Spanish (Latin American) that I only kinda learned in high school!

13 Ashleigh June 29, 2009 at 12:30 pm

I would love for my daughter (2 1/2) and I to learn Spanish together. How fun!

14 April~Living The Sweet Life June 29, 2009 at 12:43 pm

We would love to get the French Rosetta Stone for our family.

15 Susan June 29, 2009 at 12:48 pm

I would love to win the French version.

16 Dineen June 29, 2009 at 1:14 pm

I would love to win the Spanish version! Our town has a large population of immigrants from Central and South America, and our schools often have new students who don’t speak English. My children -who just finished Kindergarten and 1st grade – have often mentioned that they wished they knew more Spanish so they could communicate with their new classmates.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this great prize!

We would be over the blue Moon to win the chinese, as we hope to be able to walk the great wall in two years with our 6 and 3 year old boys.
It would be amazing to be able as a family to speak the language.
Thank you for all you do.
We just love you blog.
Happy 4th of July

I would choose Spanish. I took two years of it in high school (many moons ago), but never kept up with it. I know a few words, but nothing really. I’ve been to Mexico many times and I swear Spanish is the second language where I live anyway. I’d love to learn Spanish and be able to communicate with so many more people.

19 CarrieO June 29, 2009 at 1:33 pm

My husband is part Chinese, so probably that one.

20 Kaleena June 29, 2009 at 1:38 pm

WOW! What an awesome giveaway
I would choose Spanish Latin America, because it would be helpful where I live.

21 Shiree June 29, 2009 at 1:49 pm

I would LOVE to win this! My husband speaks spanish and we would love to live in South America for a few years. My attempts to learn Spanish on my own are not working out the best, so I would definitely choose Spanish (latin america).

22 Sara Lewis June 29, 2009 at 1:50 pm

I would like the Spanish (Latin America) version!

23 Molly Juza June 29, 2009 at 1:57 pm

As a Spanish major, I would love to win either the Spanish one (to use with my kids or students some day) or the Italian one to use for myself! I love learning languages and feel it is soooo important to further one’s understanding of other cultures!

24 Lindsey June 29, 2009 at 2:19 pm

Oddly enough, I’d pick Latin as a language to learn with my kids- it is so helpful in learning other languages later on in life and also for those basic words we use everyday.

25 amy June 29, 2009 at 2:29 pm

Cool, I’d love to learn, and have my almost three-year old speak Spanish! Great giveaway!

26 Audrey June 29, 2009 at 2:41 pm

My husband served an LDS mission to Mexico City and has been trying to teach me spanish for YEARS. I hear this program is one of the best and would love to try it! We also have three small children he is trying to teach also, so this would defintely used in our household.

27 Nicole June 29, 2009 at 3:02 pm

My daughters are learning Spanish in school. I’d love to learn along with them so I can help with their Spanish homework!!

30 April Driggers June 29, 2009 at 3:19 pm

OH my gosh that is SO generous! I’d love to help my son learn Spanish. We live in Texas — it’s almost a necessity to speak Spanish in order to be able to speak with the growing Hispanic population here.

31 Elizabeth June 29, 2009 at 3:53 pm

I work at a 99% hispanic school and would LOVE to learn spanish through Rosetta Stone. It would be a dream to win this. I KNOW it will be helpful for me to teach these wonderful kids!

32 Amber Gardner June 29, 2009 at 4:16 pm

What a wonderful giveaway. I would love have my three kids learn Spanish. Especially considering my daughters best friend is native Spanish speaking (her friends mother only speaks Spanish, I only speak English, so it is hard to communicate).

33 Camille M June 29, 2009 at 4:19 pm

I’d love to win the Spanish program! My husband speaks Spanish and he tries to teach me all the time! I’d love to win it so I could learn Spanish then surprise him one day but just speaking to him in Spanish! Can you imagine the look on his face?? :)

34 Lori June 29, 2009 at 4:21 pm

Thank you for this opportunity! (RR) :) (in sign language, the R is crossed fingers) I can’t believe you’re going to give one away… If I could only choose one, it would be Latin for my family, as we would love to give them a strong base for their language. I was a sign language interpreter before we started our family, so, hopefully, I’ve prepared their little heads for more!!! Either way, what a blessing! Thank you for your blog.

35 Monique June 29, 2009 at 5:40 pm

Thanks for offering the drawing. I would love the Japanese program. Your blog is very nice.

36 Monique June 29, 2009 at 5:43 pm

Oops, forgot to write why. I have been learning Japanese for years, but I have lapsed in my studying of Japanese because I was in school. I would like to get back into studying Japanese.

37 Andrea June 29, 2009 at 6:11 pm

My husband and I have been looking at getting this for about 6 months now. He is going into dentistry and wants to learn Spanish to open up more opportunities. He currently knows Portuguese and is hoping that will help make learning spanish a little easier.

38 Rita June 29, 2009 at 6:16 pm

My family and I would love to learn Spanish! We have looked at the program but it is just not in the budget right now!

39 craftytammie June 29, 2009 at 6:32 pm

I have three kiddos, so this would get a lot of use! I think we’d want Spanish, thanks!

40 Wendy June 29, 2009 at 6:32 pm

Hi! Thanks for this opportunity. I can’t tell you how much I hope to win this prize. We are a homeschooling military family. I would love to get our daughter started in latin.

41 Karen June 29, 2009 at 6:33 pm

What a great giveaway! We’d love to teach our girls French – and it’d be nice to brush up on mine too!

42 Brooke Greenstreet June 29, 2009 at 6:46 pm

We’d LOVE Spanish. We’re just starting to homeschool. My husband is fluent in spanish but since he’s in the Navy he won’t always be here to be our spanish tutor! Great giveaway!

43 Christy June 29, 2009 at 6:46 pm

I would love the Greek one. My husband and I just got back from Greece, and love the country. He goes there frequently with groups from our church. How awesome would it be the next time to speak to them in their native language

44 Cole June 29, 2009 at 6:47 pm

Greek or spanish would be great to teach the kiddos

45 Andrea June 29, 2009 at 6:57 pm

I’d love the Spanish program!

46 Renee June 29, 2009 at 7:06 pm

If we win we’d like the English version to use with our two newly adopted children from Ethiopia!

47 Natalie O'Dea June 29, 2009 at 8:37 pm

I would love the Spanish Level 3. I speak some Spanish, but I really need to polish my skills and practice. I have looked into Rosetta Stone, but can’t quite let myself spend the money right now. It looks amazing!

48 kary June 29, 2009 at 8:45 pm

Oh wow! I would LOVE to learn latin, my son starts in school this year & this would be perfect!

49 Kim June 29, 2009 at 9:08 pm

Wow!!! What an awesome give away! I was thrilled when I came across this on your blog. My 8 year old little girl is learning Spanish and I have heard wonderful things about this program. So…here’s my comment in hopes of winning Spanish, Rosetta Stone! Kim
