Handprint Turkey Cards

It’s so simple YOU have NO excuse NOT to do it {promise!}

So set up shop on the kitchen table with your paper supplies and let your child craft the afternoon away with our simple tutorial below! Then place their beautiful finished pieces in an envelope and send them on their way to their lucky receivers!

Don’t delay – “flap those wings” together and craft these up today! Happy crafting my friends!!!

Supplies:

  • Colored Cardstock {most importantly brown for the turkey!}
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • School Glue
  • Tape Runner
  • Glitter
  • Black/Orange/Red Markers

Directions:

First trace your child’s hand on the brown cardstock. Trim out. Repeat for each card you want to make.

Go ahead and use the tape runner to attach the handprint cutout to a piece of cardstock, to be later added to a card front.

Now you are ready for the embellishments!!! The thumb is the head of the turkey – while the other fingers are the feathers. First grab your markers and draw on a beak, mouth and legs. Finish off by gluing some glitter on the “feathers” of the turkey to give it that custom look. Set aside to let it dry completely.
