I love spring cleanning. Clean out my closet and my son's toybox. But then I am a sucker for garage sales, so I end up adding more crap!

I need to do my pantry too, although it seems like the "gremlins" attack it as soon as I get it done! Barb

So glad to know that I'm not the only one with a pantry that looks like your before picture! Great work!

I did my big pantry (just like yours)! But I also had to include a pull out cabinet pantry and my lazy susan. I found that I had lost the ability to keep like food items together. So all 3 areas got emptied and I found a new home for all like things together!

Life will be easier now... less wondering and faster cooking! :)

It looks great. Isn't it such a great feeling when you open those doors and peer at the 'after'?

I can totally tell a difference in the before and after shots. Pantries, cabinets and refrigerators are so difficult to maintain in order precisely because they are used so much. You did a great job!

It DOES look different! And if in just one photo, it makes that much of a difference, I can only imagine how much easier it is for you to open the door and find what you need.

Way to go!

((does this mean I have to clean up my pantry? lol))

Great job with your pantry - looks so much better. I've found that a visually appealing space helps me mentally quite a bit. We have a huge walk-in pantry that not only holds some food and other kitchen gadgets, but also all my cookbooks, all art & project supplies, finished art projects, photo albums, sensory activities, medicines, and a host of other things. Yes, it's really big. But since it's home to so many categories of items, it can get cluttered easily. And because we're in there often, I need it to be visually organized and zen-like. So I reorganize, clean and purge about monthly which drives my husband nuts! I tend to do a lot of shifts and moves throughout the month too!

Spring cleaning for us means the windows (outside & sills inside), pressure washing the moss away from everything outdoors, cleaning indoor plants (fake and real) and doing the heavy cleaning we don't do often. And a major season-changing purge of clothes, toys & other random things we just don't need anymore.

Feels so good!

Good job on the pantry. I did a post on mine a while back: http://sweetlysouthern.blogspot.com/2009/02/one-tip-wednesday_18.html I have to admit though, I clean mine out usually about once a month. It's kind of an obsessive thing. My spring cleaning has been more about cleaning things like the windows, base boards, oiling the wood cabinets and furniture and dusting the walls. I almost feel like I'm nesting - LOL.
