This is awesome! So many helpful hints...particularly love the glue idea to stop puckering. I will definately try that. Love the dear little 'hand quilted' easter quilt...Good Job!! : )

Thanks all. I am excited about what I am doing next too. I can't say just yet, it is a surprise for someone I love who reads this blog.

Becky - I think I am only going to be having enough energy for about one more month, before this prego belly gets the best of me.

Leslie - That is a good tip. I have heard of it before, but scared to use it. I need to try it and I am sure I will love it. I think I am scared it will be sticky on my machine or gummy on the needle. But I am all for a shortcut when I can get it. Thanks.

Hey Marie,

The quilt is very sweet. You made great color selections. I love the solid pastels.

Since you don't have that much extra time on your hands, I would suggest you use Quilt Basting Spray (the pink can one is the best) to temporarily "glue" your quilt sandwhich together. Then, you can machine quilt without all the puckering.

After you're done just toss in the the washer and all the glue is gone. When it comes out of the dryer, you'll find a nice antique'y looking quilt.

Glad to see you've caught the quilt bug too.

I just found your blog and I love your quilt! I have done a little of both hand vs. machine but no freeform yet - it just seems a little daunting. =) Look forward to seeing what you do next!

I LOVE your quilt! It's beautiful. I really, really want to make a quilt, and never have before. Do you know of any good books for beginners?

Thanks Lina and Liz. I think it is probably better to start out small.

Also, I didn't even know it was National Quilt Day. How great that I posted my quilt today, without even knowing it! Happy Quilting.
