Today’s Giveaway is helping to keep our kids eating healthy. Amy, from Super Healthy Kids is full of ideas for eating right. Check out her blog to keep up to date with fun recipes and other food ideas for healthy eating.

Super Healthy Kids features this fantastic Healthy Habits Plate. It has 3 portioned sized sections on the plate, focusing on what the portion sizes should be, as well which types of foods should be eaten. “The Healthy Habits plate teaches kids that half their plate should be full of fruits and vegetables, 1/4 of their plate should be filled with protein, and 1/4 of the plate with grains. Kids will begin to learn how tasty healthy eating can be.”

Super Healthy Kids is happily giving away a set of 2 plates to one winner. Simply leave a comment on this post by Thursday, July 10th @ Midnight and you’re entered to win. The winner will be announced Friday morning. Thanks Amy, for helping our kids learn to be healthy.

Hi!
Congratulations on your new baby!
Just wanted to let you know that you have a reader in Israel too. I love your blog! Thanks for all the ideas!
Would you mind writing about celebrating birthdays for the little ones (parties, presents etc.)? My son’s first birthday is getting close.
May I post a link to your blog on mine (Hebrew only)?
Thank you,
Miri
I love reading every new blog entry. These plates are a great idea. Thanks.
Cute plate and very sensible idea!
How cute! What a great idea and a great website!
This is a great idea!
That is such a great idea! The amazing thing is that we used to have similar plates years ago, without the designated areas of course, and we would use the largest area for the meat-and-potatoes main dish, while the vegetables and a dessert went in the small areas. So much more nutritious and healthy–this is a terrific way to teach our kids how to eat well.
I love this idea! Maybe it’ll help my boys to eat better!
what a great idea!
I love the idea of the plate and would love to win it!!
Love the plate! Thanks for the chance to win!
Hi Marie! Good Morning!
This is a very cute plate! My son is a very picky eater. It’s a control thing for him.(He’s a true scorpio!) We’ve done the weeks of the same food for every meal. I’ve read that many kids do this and it’s OK – on the flip I’ve read you should “force” your kids to eat what you want them to. What’s all of your thoughts on this?
What a great tool to teach my toddler to eat healthy!
I love the happy little strawberry. What cute plates and a great idea. Thanks!
That plate is such a great idea! I always feel like it’s a struggle to get my son to eat his veggies. Thanks for another great give away.
such cute plates. just found your blog. it is helping me get through the summer with three kids! :)
we’re making the sponge splashers today.
very cool idea! And they are cute too!
Love the plates. My boys would get so into matching their food with the pictures.
Found your blog through Crafty Crow. I really love it, always looking for healthy snacks for my 3 little ones. Thanks!!
These are adorable! And my little pattern-following preschooler would really enjoy following the “rules” of the plate!
What a great idea. I am always looking for new ideas to feed the little ones! Thanks!
These plates are great – I would love them! Thank you.
Enter me! What a simple idea, but makes such a difference! Thanks for the giveaway!
Oh, my kids would love those sectioned and “labeled” plates! Thank you!
What a good idea. I think my kids would get a kick out of these.
Such a genius idea!
What a great idea! I love it!
Okay, I love that plate — we are healthy eaters at our house and this would be an awesome way to even help them see what they should focus on finishing when they’re not keen on eating everything on their plate. I love this!
Oooh! Me! I think my girls might even cooperate with that!
The only plate better than this one would be one that magically hides all the other food until the veggies are eaten. Then the grains and protein would be revealed. As is, I think this plate would work pretty darn well! Do you mind if I post a link to your blog on mine?
I have been to her website but forgot about these, they are to cute.
Great idea! Besides helping out our children, this should be helpful reminder for parents like myself.
Congratulations on your baby! I love your site and thanks for the giveaway! This is a great way to show my daughters that they shouldn’t eat all bread for a meal!
I read the article in a Utah Valley magazine online about this product and was impressed with the story. I would love to win a couple of these plates. I know my kids would love them.
Thanks!
Wow, we could REALLY use these at my house. One only eats from the grains group and one only eats from the fruits. They need a little visual on balance. :) Awesome product!
This plate is a really good idea. What a great way to help teach your kids!!
This would be a great visual to help teach my students about nutrition and healthy eating!
love the smiling vegetables – a little subtle encouragement that veggies are good is always appreciated.
What a great idea! We always try to eat healthy, but there will be no more excuses with this handy little reminder!
Wow! My little boy could sure use this. He thinks the world revolves around chocolate. I’ve been looking for ways to get him to eat healthy. This may be my answer.
What a cute plate! I would love this for my kids!
I wonder if this would help my girls to eat their dinner? It would be worth a try. Off to check out her blog too.

My kids love eating out of plates that have sections. Those are so cute!!

I love the plate! I had no idea that you should have more fruits and veggies than grains.
Sounds good to me! And thanks for introducing me to Super Healthy Kids-what a great resource.

What a great idea!
I love that other people are anxious to keep kids eating healthy….sometimes I feel like I am the only one in this potato chip world.
cute plates! I love love love divided plates!!
These are awesome! They remind me of my mother’s nutritionist “you will eat veggies as much as possible” meals.
I love her blog! I check it often. I also put my kiddos veggies and fruits on the biggest part of thier plates. Having those plates would be fun. They are so cute!
I’d love to win this. Thanks!
I love these!
I also think this is a great idea. It will work great for my kids since they are still in the “Mom, my food is touching!” stage of life. I also have a preteen who is eating more than me, so portions sizes are a daily conversation in my home.
I’m going to go check out the site now, cause I’m going to need 4 if I’m not lucky enough to win 2 of them :)
Very smart plate! Thanks!
what a great & darling idea
Love this idea! Thanks!
These plates are such a great idea. I try to keep my daughter eating healthy meals and snacks and it’s difficult when her cousins and friends get sugary foods all the time.
She’d love these plates, and so would I :D
Thanks for the contest!
My 2.5 year old son is way in to cooking, choosing good food for his body, etc. He would LOVE this plate in a BIG way. Thanks!
Love this idea…it’s never to early to teach them to make their own healthy food choices!
Love this idea….I’ve got one picky eater!
This plate would really help me out when trying to remember portion sizes and how to create a balanced meal for my two kids.
What a great idea. My 6 year old is being more aware of what is healthy and what is not. Luckily for me, she loves eating healthy. Makes it easier for me.
I’m thinking that this might be the one thing that gets my 3 year old eating more fruits and veggies!!
How cute!! My daughter would love these!
Great and healthy idea!

Hey there! Love the plate idea! Thanks for offering such a healthy giveaway!!
What a fantastic, educational idea! I was raised with an extreme emphasis placed on healthy eating. My mother has since passed away, and I am just starting to give my first little baby finger foods and am finding myself desperately wanting to teach him the importance of eating well. A plate like this would do a lot to help make it fun for them at this age and onward. Hats off to whoever made it!
The plate is a great idea!
i just love the plate! what a great idea, portion control is a very important lesson for children to learn.
Great idea. Love the plates.

I love the plate- too cute!!
That is the most brilliant idea! I LOVE it! Thanks for the fun give-a-way…..even if I don’t win! :)
What a great plate. I have laminated food pyramids for my kids and we always pull them out at every meal or snack time and we talk about what food groups they are eating from. My kids are very young still but they love it and it makes sense to them.
I would love these plates! I have such a hard time making sure my kids get their fruits and veggies. I think these would really help.
I can across your site and am excited to use some of your fun ideas with my kids. I’m not very creative, so I hope you don’t mind me using ALL of your ideas! :)
Way cute plate. My kids would love these. Love the ideas here. Thanks!
Very cute plates! Great giveaway!
We try to keep our girls on a healthy diet without going overboard and making them gorge on junk food when they get out of our sight. I am still amazed when my 4 year old presents any food item to me so that I can read the ingredients to be sure there is no “high fuit corn syrup” listed. Do you think that will last?
I just stumbled across your blog – tons of great information to be found here, can’t wait to look around some more! Adorable plates, my preschooler would get a kick out of them. Do they make them for grown-ups too?
TOO cute! Such a great idea!
Yours and Amy’s sites are my two new favorites! I check these more often than I check my email! ;) Love this idea!
