Recycled Snow Scoop

My kids could play in the snow all day long… sledding, snow balling, and making tunnels! We’ve just made these fun Snow Scoops to aid them in their play!

Supplies for Gallon Jug Snow Scoops:

1 gallon plastic jug, empty and dried out
scissors (adult needs to cut this)
permanent markers

Coloring Coffee Filter Snowflakes

We made paper snowflakes at our house last year, so I thought I’d try it a little different this time with coffee filters. Coffee filters are great for craft projects, especially snowflakes as they already have a circle shape. We brightened ours up with watercolors, bringing our snowflakes to life.

Our New’s Years Day Sledding Tradition

Since I was young, my family has gone sledding on New Year’s Day. As we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground here in Utah, it should be a great day today for sledding. Happy New Year 2009!
