So I totally think that is hilarious, but they dont have kids and a real life. You have to buy stuff. Even when you have no money. Sucks Being the mom. Love your blog.

My DH and I live pretty frugal. I own my home that is 5 years old, my car and his truck The car was brand new 5 years ago when we bought it, the pick up was used, 4 years old, I think. We have never gone out to buy the newest electronics, nor have we gone into debt to buy ‘stuff’. Mostly it has been driven by necessity, but we just aren’t people that feel comfortable living with a lot of debt. It feels good to have no credit card debt or mortgage in this scary financial time we are living in. Be frugal and it will give you security. NOthing better than that.

It’s a funny video, but the sad part is, Americans really are like that, we don’t have a clue how to control money. Common sense should tell us, but we’ve lost that.

Oh, I want to see it! Hulu isn’t available outside of the U.S. Is it on YouTube?

Funny- I think our leaders in Washington could use this book right about now.:)

Great video! I think that everyone could use this advice. We are in the process of trying to payoff our credit card. I really want to get better about saving $$$.

My grandfather used to tell us all the time to not go into debt. Fortunately, some of the lessons sank in. We will probably weather this time pretty well because we bought a smaller older home, had 0% financing on our cars.

Anyway, I nominated your blog for an award. If you’d like to play along, you can share the love at http://growinginpeace.wordpress.com/2009/03/16/i-feel-so-specialnow-who-can-i-share-the-love-with/

Anyway, sorry the previous post didn’t include the fact that I so love your ideas for kids. I’m so tired right now, but I wanted to be a good blog reader and pass along the award I received to you before I go to sleep.

That is my very favorite SNL sketch. I was just repeating it last night at family dinner to our relatives. SO funny.

Love this video! Funny thing is, it aired years ago! Maybe if people had ordered the book (haha!) America wouldn’t be in the state it is in now!

That is really funny-Sad, because it’s true, but funny!! It is hard to stay in a budget, but we are really better off if we stay with in our means. I know I am guilty of spending to much sometimes! It’s time to reign it in. We as a country can’t keep going on like this with all this spending and nothing to back it up!

Thanks- I love your blog!!
