The Turkey Dinner Song

by Marie on November 26, 2008

As both of my kids learned this Thanksgiving song in school this year, we thought it would be fun to sing it for you. Here are my kids singing The Turkey Dinner Song.

Turkey Dinner, Turkey Dinner, Gather Round, Gather Round
Who will get the drumstick? Yummy Yummy Yum-stick
All sit down, All sit down

Cornbread muffins, chestnut stuffin’, pudding pie ten feet high
All of us were thinner until we came to dinner
Me-o my, Me-o my!

Sung to the tune of ‘Frère Jacques (Are You Sleeping)’

What traditions do you have for your Thanksgiving table?

That is our FAVORITE Thanksgiving song! Thanks for sharing it! We have been trying to teach it to our son…I will let him listen to your sweet kids singing it after nap.

So cute Marie! They’re so grown up! And I love how she just looks at him for the words. Happy Thanksgiving!

Too cute! My 1 year old stopped playing to watch your two kiddos– he loved the performance.

OK, if I have to say Grace tomorrow, now I know what it’ll be!

I love the way little sister is keeping an eye on big bro’ so she’ll get the words & moves right.

thanks for sharing this

Oh my. Best line ever.

“All of us were thinner till we came to dinner.” I actually laughed out loud. How adorable.
