Toddler Mascara Mishap

by Marie on March 28, 2008

I was positive my little girl was playing in her room, when I realized it had been quiet for too long. I called out her name, and no response. I think she knew she was in trouble and didn’t respond. I guess I shouldn’t have put any blush on her that morning and left my makeup out on the counter. This is what Daddy found when he went to go check on her.

This is classic! I love the “CHEESE”! That is something my girls would do.

2 Liz March 28, 2008 at 3:35 pm

Such a little sweetie… I would want to wash my hands too!

Funny stuff Marie. Fun to see what you are up to these days. Love your crafitness, such fun ideas. I think i’m going to make the felt cookies you made into bean bags.

I guess I don’t see what the problem is. I had to laugh! My girls ALWAYS get into my stuff, they are just being curious and they don’t know any better… yet.

Take a picture, make a cute page out of it and someday when she is older and has a daughter who does the same thing, you can tell her “SO DID I!”

oh my gosh! I couldn’t help but laugh. so cute! you looked like you were trying not to the whole time . . .

I have been through this so many times. 5 kids and I think they have all managed at some time. 4 of them are boys.

Brad and I are dying over this! So cute and funny.

Precious! Both my children have done this too – but not on the toes…now that’s creative.

I laughed too – and I had to start it again to show my husband. You and your husband were cracking me up – and the “cheese” was just too funny. Nice to see I’m not the only one with a little one who can make me crazy some days – but that I love like crazy. :)

LOL… I would have been so mad! I hate cleaning up this sort of mess. I think its so funny that you guys were so calm and cool about the whole thing. Lucy is darling , “Cheeeeeessee”… hahahah that was funny.

Holt, (is Jordan going to be upset I still call you that?),
Anyway, “Marriiiiiiiiieeeeeee” … I don’t know what to say, except that I too love the “cheese” and it must be hard to be a kid…

“I’m in trouble…no wait, they’re getting the camera, this must be good… no wait, I’m in trouble..” It’s hard out there for a kid. ;)

That is so funny! My little girl has done that so many times!!! And always on Sunday–because that’s the only time I can pull it together enough to put makeup on.

13 Amy March 29, 2008 at 12:28 pm

Too much fun! We’ve all been there – my most recent was with nail polish – eeeeek.

Ben saw me watching this and made us watch “naughty Lucy” four times….he loved it!!!

15 Jenn March 29, 2008 at 2:11 pm

This has to be one of the funniest clips I have seen. I love the ‘cheese’ comment. I had to replay that part over and over because I couldn’t stop laughing. You totally need to submit this to funniest videos

16 Meriel Frandsen March 29, 2008 at 5:30 pm

Oh my! Cutest and most darling thing I have ever seen! She is seriously the sweetest, however naughty it was!

17 Missy March 29, 2008 at 8:51 pm

Oh Marie- That was SO hilarious! I love that you guys taped it. I can’t help but turn my head and laugh when my kids do stuff like that. Silence is only golden when they are asleep!
Too cute!

This moment will definitely be in your memories forever! And you will laugh and laugh, especially when you tell her husband in 20 + years. At least a majority was on her face ?

20 Megan March 30, 2008 at 6:52 pm

So funny I am laughing in a good way. You guys handled this so well. How priceless is the part when she said “Cheese” Keep this forever for when her daughter decides to get into her make up. SO CUTE!

21 Maddie March 30, 2008 at 9:45 pm

I don’t know what all the big fuss is about… I always love a good impersonation…. she does a spot on Tammy Faye!

22 kelly March 30, 2008 at 11:45 pm

23 Aimee March 31, 2008 at 6:12 pm

haha, she would love my daughter Audrey; she’s done the same thing. so funny and not funny at the same time; hard to decide if you should be mad or laugh histerically. :)

24 ashli April 2, 2008 at 2:55 pm

Marie-
I don’t know how you were not laughing! She is too cute! Her cheese is the best and I love that you documented the experience on camera! You will have to pull it out when she really does start wearing makeup!

Thanks for the Mascara Love!! We just had to share this as tears were streaming down my face with laughter as I watched this. Lucy is truly our little cutie.

I am sure there are many more Messes to come!!
