Thank you for sharing this idea! My daughter and I have used empty toilet paper rolls (or paper towel rolls) to make napkin rings. (Cut them in thirds...then wrap decorative paper around them covering the inside, too.)

Hi, I created this toilet paper roll project for Whip Up and as a crafter and primary school art teacher I collect pretty much everything. Such as plastic packaging for this little project here

http://ninimakes.typepad.com/nini_makes/2007/09/tutorial-fun-re.html

You'll also find an alternative toilet paper roll bracelet on my site using felt & buttons as well as loads of other children/family oriented projects.

Enjoy!

And if you like what you see, link me - cheers! : )

My kids and I made guitars out of Kleenex boxes, paper towel rolls, and rubber bands. They love it have been "playing" them for days. The bracelets are a cute idea, I'm going to have to try that one.
