We are in the new year, 2020, can you believe it? As we’re making goals to eat healthy and get in more of our daily vitamins, especially for my kids, I love making a tropical smoothie! They are easy to blend and everyone loves them!

Creamy Tropical Smoothie, Sunshine in a Glass

My girls love smoothies, and this delicious and vibrant tropical smoothie is the perfect way to start the day. It makes a refreshing treat on a hot afternoon, too – whether you’re running around the backyard or running in the door from a busy day at school.

Creamy tropical smoothie for kids

Not only is this a delicious smoothie you can make any time of the year, you’ll love how fresh it tastes with the tropical fruit recipe. It will transport your mind into thinking it’s summer again!

Creamy Tropical Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana

Method:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Makes 2 delicious servings!

Tips and variations:

• Use Greek-style yogurt for an extra protein boost.

• Swap the frozen pineapple chunks for frozen mango chunks – equally yummy!

• Freeze the blended mixture in popsicle molds for an icy dessert.

  1. delicious! we used the pineapple juice from our can of pineapples – i drained and saved the liquid and then froze the canned pineapple. really great – my whole family loved it.
