Simple Snackable Homemade Pretzel Bites

Homemade Pretzel Bites Recipe


  • 1 container store bought fresh pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup  baking soda
  • egg lightly beaten


  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line up a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
  2. Roll out the fresh pizza dough on top of a cutting board and cut dough into 2" by 2" squares, then roll them up into balls.
  3. Add water to a large deep saucepan and bring it to boil. Add baking soda, really careful slowly and in small quantities because it will bubble up so fast and stir.
  4. Add dough balls and cook for 1-2 minutes or until they puff up and float.
  5. Gently remove dough balls with a slotted spoon and place them on prepared baking tray.
  6. Brush a good amount of the beaten egg on top of each dough ball and with some salt.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool down a bit before serving them. Serve pretzel bites with favorite dipping sauces.
