Here are some great books for children to read and learn about Black History, which is celebrated during this month of February.

Martin’s Big Words – a book about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Story of Ruby Bridges – the story of a 6 year old girl who walks into an all white elementary school after the court ordered it desegregated.

Kara – I am so glad you ordered these books. The one about Ruby Bridges is great. I feel it’s really important to teach our children about the past to change the future for the better!
