How to Keep Kids Reading All Summer Long

I’m thrilled to be guest posting over at the Reading Rainbow blog, yes, that Reading Rainbow! Did you grow up watching LeVar Burton on PBS showcasing all kinds of new and exciting books to read? I loved it. I had the whole intro memorized. In fact, I think I can still sing it all today… “butterfly in the sky” “it’s in a book, take a look…”

I’m sharing a few ways to keep the kids reading all summer long. We still have one more month to get through and we’re looking for ways to keep up our reading, trying our best to keep electronics to a minimum.

  • Create a Routine
  • Rotate Books
  • Visit the Library – our favorite!
