The Cleaning Lady Came Today

by Marie on October 5, 2007

That’s me. But if I had a cleaning lady, she too would tell you to go out and buy the Magic Eraser. I got to cleaning the walls in my house, it looks as if I have wallpaper when I don’t. The Magic Eraser takes it all off, back to looking like it should. It’s really made of magic.

It’s probably one of dirt’s greatest enemies. It will clean crayon off walls, black smudges off almost any surface, and fingerprints plastered around the house. Here is my sons attempt at climbing his “Woody” figurine up the door frame, leaving his boot marks all the way up. But now it’s gone!!

WARNING: Do Not let the Magic Eraser within reach of children. It has been known to burn skin when rubbed.

What great cleaning supplies do you consider magic?

I love the magic eraser too, it has saved us from a ton of messes that I didn’t think would come clean. I didn’t know about the rubbing on the skin. I’ve made my girls use them to clean up some of their messes, I guess I need to keep an eye on them when I have them using the eraser. Thanks for the tip.

I agree magic erasers are the best! I like to use them to clean the outside of my fridge.

Meriel, I will have to try Kaboom. Is it made by that crazy guy who is always coming up with new cleaners?

Heather, I guess there was an email going around about magic eraser burning a child’s face and arms. As I did research on that email, the mother said it was true, but to stop sending the email around. But it is good to know.

I love Spray ‘n Wash Dual Power Stain Remover! In August, we were going to a wedding out of state, and the night before I bought a cute dress from TCP for my daughter. Being the brilliant mom that I am, I had her try on the dress at home, forgetting that she had just been eating raspberries. Some of the raspberry juice dribbled out of her mouth, getting it all down the front of her new dress. I squirted this stuff on the dress and I kid you not, the stain disappeared right before my eyes! Now I swear by this stuff.

Okay, I’m back to silently lurking again :)

Yes, magic eraser rocks! These are my other faves…
For hard water stains and to get stainless steal sparkly, Barkeeper’s Friend.
To get stains out of clothes, Awesome (you get it at the 99 cent store).
Tubs and sinks, I will forever be a Comet and Soft Scrub girl.

I LOVE MAGIC ERASERS!!! You already know I’m a clean freak, just like Jor, and this is seriuosly one of my all-time fave cleaning products. I also cannot live w/o Kaboom (get’s rid of soap scum and grease), Goo-Gone (takes sticky residue off of everything), and Folex Carpet Cleaner (Dave Fair introduced this one to me)…
