Calling All Super Readers

by Marie on November 28, 2007

Hands down, the best TV show for young children. Super Why is a TV show on PBS about reading, letters, sounds, spelling, and problem solving. There are 4 darling characters that are always helping someone in need. Usually it is a storybook character that is in trouble or they look to storybooks for answers. I love everything about it. My 2 year old goes around the house singing the “Super Why” song and recognizing what letters are, and my 4 1/2 year old goes around spelling words and trying to read. You can’t beat that.

What other TV shows do you give the “Parent TV Approval Award”?

Oh yes, this is a favorite of Ben’s! He loves the website too. He has learned to use the mouse and can click on the different letters. Love it!!

WE LOVE SUPER WHY!!! Peyton insists on watching it 20 times a day, thank goodness for tivo most days when I don’t have the patience to say no! She loves the website too and can play 2 of the games all by herself which makes her feel quite old!

My son loves it as well. He calls for it all day long. Another good show is Word World…not as popular with but a very close second.

My 4 yr. old son loves to watch Super Why. He even portrays himself to be “y”.
I would love to buy a super why dvd. Are they available? If so, where can I find them?
