I can’t take another night of my sweet little munchkin waking up in the middle of the night, climbing out of her crib, opening her door, slamming her door closed, climbing into our bed, and whispering “Wake up, Daddy”.
“Lucy, Go back to your bed.”
“No, I go watch a show.”
“No, you go back in your bed.”
“No, I go watch a show.”
Do you think we watch too much television that my 2 year old wants to watch it at 3:00 am or 4:00 am or 6:00 am. If she knew how to work the television, I might be tempted to say, Yes!!
Help! How do I keep her asleep without the use of drugs?

Marie,
How many naps is she taking? You might have to give up the naps or put her to bed later. Just a thought. Or she might be too young for this, but with Gabe I had to make an incentive program. ” If you stay in your bed for 3 nights , I’ll get you your favorite toy …” I’ve had to do this a bunch of times when his schedule get messed up and he’s in a weird cycle, usually from being sick. Good Luck!

I totally hear you! This same thing has happened to us several times w/ Mack. He’ll even go through phases where he’ll wake up at 4:00am or 5:30am for days or weeks at a time, wanting to watch “Mack’s shows”. Some mornings I’ll go out and tell him we have to read or play w/ puzzles first, but most of the time I’m too tired from waking up w/ Mason, that I’ll just give in. Steph, great ideas, though!
