Let’s the Winter Olympic Games begin! I love the Olympics and am happy to share some sporty crafts, games, and activities to celebrate the games. All week long I’ll be posting an Olympic craft series called: Winter Olympic Games for Kids!
First up, I’ve found some fun Olympic crafts for kids from around the web. Start crafting while you watch your favorite sport. Then come back tomorrow and all week for more Olympic Crafts for kids!

We had a fun experience the other day when the Olympic torch ran past out home on it’s way to the games…we made out own flags and torches too, as seen here: http://gowardfam.blogspot.com/2010/02/day-olympic-torch-came-past-our-house.html
Our torches were simple cone shapes with tissue paper flames, but the kids drew the Van 2010 Logo and Olympic rings on as well, then popped in a flashlight to complete the effect.
Fun ways to inspire some already proud Canadians ;) Enjoy the games!
Looking forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeves for Olympic crafts. I know it will be good.
We love the Olympics too! We had an Olympic Dinner on Fri for the Opening Ceremonies! I don’t know if you are interested, but I have a linky for Olympic fun!
I’d love for you to join in :)

We try to study a different country every night during the Olympics. This is my 2nd Olympics blogging about it. I’ve got two kiddos in school this time around so we aren’t able to do as much in depth study of each country, but we cook a meal from the country we’ve talked about each night. Some days we have more than one!
Susan – I LOVE that idea. That would be 14 countries! How fun. I’m adding a link to your blog sharing all your Olympic country posts!

We just threw my son an Olympic-themed birthday party, so I am sharing some of my Olympic ideas on my blog each day. Today, I shared how I made each person at the party a gold medal. Tomorrow, I will also be sharing how I made our torch out of a water bottle.

I love your ideas!! Thanks so much!
We made our own Stuffed Animal Olympics bobsled this week. Could be fun if you have a kid who is loving the bobsled races.

We are trying to do an activity or craft related to each Olympic event. I’m struggling with a few of them.
Just wanted to share a post filled with Olympic ideas.
