I love the magazine Everyday Food. Their magazine has PICTURES for every recipe, a must have. Everyday Food, if you don’t know, is a small branch off from Martha Stewart. They have also come out with a weekly Saturday TV show that is always recording on my DVR, PBS at 2:30pm. I was just watching one of the shows and had to give them a shout out!
There are 5 main food connoisseurs, John, Lucinda, Allie, Margot and Sarah that head up the show and they each take a different part of a meal. Some of their shows have been centered around low-fat, quick, seasonal, and ethnic, just to name a few. I even love to watch the re-runs. They really share some great tips for cooking, food facts, and food prep. I do admit, that some of their recipes use ingredients that are too “out there” for me, or just to odd for me to buy, but they do encourage me to eat different foods. For the Magazine, I use to be a subscriber, but now I just buy it at the grocery store at the check out counter when I see it.
Here are a few of my favorite recipes from the show and their magazine. Just click on the link to get the delicious recipe.
Basic Pizza Dough– sooo much better to eat pizza homemade.
Chicken Noodle Soup – very easy to make, I had never made it before and you are probably all laughing at me that I didn’t know chicken noodle soup was so easy.
Fish Tacos – I have really been into fish tacos lately. I also make these with frozen fish sticks, yum.
Grilled Chocolate Sandwiches– french toast heaven! Who can’t love french toast with chocolate inside?
Pork Medallions with Orange Sauce– I have made this and it was delicious, but I didn’t have the capers.
Now that you have seen the Everyday Food light, go out and set your Tivo or DVR to record this awesome food show.
