10 Week Basic Quilt Along Series

by Marie on September 7, 2010

I’m happy to announce that we’ll be starting a 10 week basic quilting series. I’ve got the very talented Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter here to help guide us as we make a Basic Patchwork Quilt. We’re breaking it down step by step! So come back each Tuesday to see how she puts it all together, from basic quilting supplies, choosing your fabric, cutting, sewing, and binding your quilt.

Once you’ve completed your quilt, you’ll be able to make fun and easy patchwork quilts for your very own or give to your loved ones.

I found your blog at just the right time! I’ve been wanting to learn to quilt for a while, and I’m pregnant, due with a boy in January, and I’d love to make him a quilt. Hooray! and Thanks!

For the quilting, we have only been offering free tutorials online, and they are now complete. But at the bottom of this link, you’ll see the whole series of links that tell you what we learned with step by step instructions. If you follow them from the top to the bottom, you should know how to make a small baby patch quilt. I hope you’ll find it helpful.
