Love the apple card!!!

Apples make great candle holders for your dinner table. Simply hollow out enough of the core area to hold a taper, votive or tea light. Some red apples, some golden, and some green make a colorful and festive centerpiece.

This is the perfect post for Utah weather this week! We did the apple painting and applesauce last year. I’m excited to try the rest this year.

I have been making caramel apple cookies. Thanks for the reminder on using apples for stamps. My kids would love an activity of that.

Barkley’s Mommy – I’ve seen those candles and always wanted to do them. Thanks for the reminder! That would be great on a holiday table.

Janel – Yes, Utah weather is perfect for apples. We just picked up some fresh ones from our local farmer’s market!

Katie – Those caramel apple cookies look delish!

All those treats look so yummy! I love apple season! The girls and I went to Whole Foods yesterday and bought one of every variety of apple they had. We came home with nine different kinds and are having fun “taste-testing” all of them. :)

Amy – 9 varieties?!! So fun. I love the idea to taste test. But make sure you save one of them to do other experiments on like this post: http://www.makeandtakes.com/weird-science

We are not making any crafts, but we have made arrangements to go to a local farm and pick a “bushel” of fresh apples.

I love all the options that Fall brings to make and create fun things. I made Caramel Apple Smoothies last wk. And a Golden Apple Pie.
I love having a dish (leaf shape) on the table filled with fresh apples. The kids grab them to eat more often, just because they are more accessible.
Thanks for sharing such a great list!

I want to thank you for re-posting your apple sauce recipe! I used it last year and LOVED it, but couldn’t find it again this year! Your timing is perfect, our apple tree is at it’s peek! Thanks, Maureen

Our family favorite is homemade applesauce cake. Pretty basic recipe, except we add semisweet chocolate morsels along with the raisins. Mmmmmmmmmm…moist and addicting!

I made a seriously yummy apple caramel cheesecake this season. My daughter helped me with the measuring and pouring and when it was all done, my neighborhood got a great apple cheesecake fix!

We also made some fruit leather out of homemade applesauce and dried apple rings by putting them in a dehydrator.

My absolute favorite though is just eating through one perfect Honey Crisp Apple…Heaven!
